Happy Monday!!! Are you all ready to start a new week? Even though I feel super tired from the time change from California to Dallas and from the DST change, I'm still super pumped for today! I don't really have a special reason as to why I should be so excited except that I missed my girls so much over the weekend and Springing forward means more sunlight at night! Wohoo!
If you watched my instastories on instagram this past week then it's not news to you that I spent a long weekend in San Clemente California with some girls. It was truly such a sweet time of rest, relaxation, and good conversations. I would say that we had more fun than the dads and kids we left behind, but I'm not quite sure that would be true. All the guys took the kid and camped out at one house for the whole weekend (8 families) and they had a blast! I'll be posting about our trip in more detail later this week!
Today's look would have been the perfect outfit to wear in SoCal though! The temperatures there, as most of you know, are warm in the day and cool at night. So, having some sleeves on with shorts would be a perfect combo and a perfect combo for most of this as we transition from Winter to Spring. Creating looks that are neutral and not complicated by patterns are often easy to transition from day to night. Picture how cute this would be with some flat sandals and a crossbody bag for shopping and brunching!
And, if you haven't heard, bodysuits are back! I remember when I first heard this trend was coming back and I immediately hated it as the only image I have in my head of bodysuits is one of a woman in the 90s wearing a bodysuit as part of her jazzercise outfit. Yikes. But, I've braved the trend over the past couple of months and I love it. If you get one like the one in today's post from Asos, then it's stretchy and thick enough that it acts like spanx almost, and it's nice to never have to worry about keeping your shirt tucked in. What do y'all think? Have you tried this trend yet?
