Fall Fashion Preview

Last night I had the privilege of attending a Fall Fashion Preview for two fabulous Dallas designers. It was hosted by the stunning, creative Ese Azenabor and the beautiful Shona Gilbert and let me tell you, this is one powerful duo. Both designers were featuring their new falls collections, mingling with guests, and talking about the inspiration behind their work.

Ese Zenabor is a Nigerian born Canadian that made her way to Texas and into the fashion world with her stunning pieces. Having designed her own clothes since she was a child, Ese finally launched her own line in 2011. Ese’s inspiration comes from contemporary European, vintage, African and Egyption influences. The thing that sets her clothes apart from other designers? She does all of her own beading, lace and embroidery. I’m telling you, if her clothes don’t WOW you instantly, her vibrant, spunky personality will. You can shop her “ready-to-wear” pieces here, here “couture” pieces here, and see some of my favorites below.

I had the honor of meeting Shona Gilbert – a Dallas jewelry designer, as well, and could not have been more impressed by her jewelry, her love for music, and her infectious smile. Shona also launched her own line in 2011 when she was selected by the Dallas Museum of Art as a featured jeweler for one of their blockbuster exhibits. Shona’s beautiful jewels are inspired by her travels and love for music. Neat fact: Shona often uses reclaimed vintage materials and recycled cigar boxes for packaging. You can shop Shona’s fall collection: “Departed” here and see some of my favorites below.

The event was such a blast, from the Ese’s beautiful pieces to Shona’s stunning jewelry designs down to the Hotpoppin Gourmet Popcorn and Kruto vodka. What could be better than food and fashion? I hope you will check out these artistically talented designers and their gorgeous pieces.

All benefits went to Our Hearts Day Center.
