A Bit of Femininity + a Bit of Edge

pink over the shoulder top

Happy Hump Day!! How is y’all’s week going so far? Politically, things seem to be a bit crazy town this week, but here on Fleurdille we’re just moving right along with smiles on our face in anticipation of summer. This off the shoulder trend is a Fleurdille favorite for sure. I just love how flattering it is on women.

I especially love this OTS top for one solid reason – the fit! Of course the blush color and bow sleeves add that perfect touch of femininity I love so much, but the fit is what makes this top. For one, it’s a bit breezy so you can wear it untucked or you can tuck it in a bit in the front for a more styled look. However, the best part is the elasticity of the top band. I often feel like when I wear a strapless top or an OTS top I’m constantly tugging at it or trying to keep it on my shoulders. With this top however, the thick elastic band keeps this top right where you lay it.

When I first got this top I thought about styling it in my normal vein – white jeans or a white skirt, but then I decided to opt for something a bit more fun. I added an edgy twist to this tailored, feminine top by pairing it with frayed hem denim. It’s kind of fun every now and then to get yourself out of your fashion comfort zone a bit and these jeans did that for me. With a pair of pumps though I was able to keep this look on par with my personal style – everyday feminine.
