Happy Monday, loves!!! Even though it’s another Monday, this may be one of my favorite Mondays in a long time because I am back home with my girls (and hubby even though technically he’s at work). If you had a chance to take a look at my instastories yesterday then you know that I flew to Chicago for 24 hours to surprise one of my girlfriend’s at her baby shower. It was a fast and furious trip, but seeing the joy and surprise on her face was worth it all!
Lately I’ve been meditating on the Bible verse Philippians 2:3 – “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” It’s definitely a humbling verse when you start realizing how much you do for yourself or out of your own selfish desires, but when you get a chance to go the extra mile for someone else it is just so much more rewarding than any gift somebody could give or do for you. This verse actually popped up in my First15 devotional day and it was a sweet reminder to me today to just spend the day with my girls unplugged from social media and my jobs.
Let’s talk about today’s look though. How fun is this outfit? It’s no secret that I have a very feminine style, but as I was shooting with my photographer the other day she told me she had my style nailed down – 90% feminine, 10% sass. I died laughing, but I think she’s right. Today’s outfit would be the 10% sass. This denim is a fun, exaggerated take on the frayed denim trend we’re seeing right now, and the split sleeves in this off the shoulder top from Asos is a super fun take on a trend we’re seeing every day.
