Maternity Style: The perfect Little Black Dress for your 3rd Trimester

Shopping for maternity clothing seems easy when you’re shopping for basics, right? After all, Gap, H&M, Old Navy, and even Nordstrom have great wardrobe staples and some even have maternity clothing in their stores so that you can try them on! But what do you do when you need a nicer dress to wear to a wedding, a shower, or a work event?

During my first pregnancy, I settled for cotton dresses and squeezing into non-maternity dresses, but I have been determined to find trendy, flattering dresses with this pregnancy that make me feel pretty and fit correctly. Lately so many of you have reached out to me with similar concerns, so today’s post is all about the little black dress that will fit your bump even at your biggest stage!

It’s no secret that my belly is large and in charge as I approach my 38th week. And if you’ve been pregnant before or are pregnant now, then you know that you just feel large at this stage no matter what you’re wearing. Well, ladies, this little black dress from Topshop is the solution to your maternity problems!

This dress could not be any more perfect for your growing bump! The fabric is light weight and breathable, the v-neck line and draped fabric elongates your figure, and black is the best go-to color to make you appear more slender. Let’s not forget to note that the sheer detailing of the sleeves elevates the dress and the hi-lo style is right on trend for the season.

styling tip: I followed the size chart guidelines strictly and the size fit perfectly; however, if I was in my 1st trimester, I would probably go down one size

Some of my other favorite shop for dresses include: asos, nordstrom, topshop.
