Orange Swing Dress

dallas fashion blogger

This summer has already been a summer of celebrations for us with wedding showers, baby showers, birthday parties and pool parties. It always seems easy to dress for nicer occasions, but it’s the more casual occasions that tend to trip me up. You don’t want to be over-dressed or under-dressed, you still want to look put-together, and if it’s an outdoor celebration in Dallas, then you most definitely want to wear something that will keep you cool. So, today I have put together a simple look for an outdoor BBQ, pool party, or just an outdoor gathering of friends. I chose a monochrome dress in a warm summer color, and let my accessories do the talking: fringe sandals, a floppy hat, and my go-to purse that doubles as a diaper bag. The good thing about investing in a couple of monochrome dresses is that you can completely change their look simply by changing your accessories. For example, I can’t wait to wear this dress again with neutral wedges, a clutch, and a fun necklace to a more refined look.
