Hi, there! Today kicks off a new segment I will be doing on my blog every week called “Transformation Thursday.” This segment has been in the works for months and I am so excited to finally share it with you!
The idea behind “Transformation Thursday” started out as simply a way to track my journey from my pregnant body back to my pre-pregnancy figure, and while I will still be doing that, this segment has evolved into so much more!
My vision for this segment is to provide information related to nutrition, fitness and health that is attainable to all genders, races and ages! I want this space to be a place of encouragement for each of us to continue to grow and become the best version of ourselves. I hope that through this segment both you and I can learn from each other and begin to develop a healthier lifestyle!
I am by no means an expert in fitness or nutrition, and so please know that I will always do my research when speaking about a topic and give credit where credit is due! I will also have a variety of people and professions guest posting on my blog from physical therapists to personal trainers to nutritionists to share their knowledge with us.
So now that you know my vision, I thought the best way to introduce this segment would be to tell you exactly what my goals are for Transformation Thursday.
Transformation Thursday Goals:
provide you with attainable fitness/exercises plans
provide you with exercises you can do with a baby in tow or with limited time
provide all natural weight loss techniques that do not include fad diets
provide you with nutritional information to help you make healthier food choices
share my favorite fitness and nutritional related products
help you and I develop a healthy lifestyle that is attainable amidst the craziness of life
I want to be completely transparent with you throughout our journey, so here are my personal goals:
lose 15 pounds (this will put me at the ideal weight for my age and height)
build muscle and definition
resume a pescatarian lifestyle (aka a vegetarian that eats fish)
learn to indulge in a healthy way (instead of eating 1/2 a pan of brownies in one day)
Along the way I will be sharing my favorite fashion items in relation to fitness. These Zella leggings have been a long time favorite of mine and I have to admit that I have them in multiple colors and patterns. I love the flexibility and breathability of the material, I love the thick waist band that hides my mommy pooch, and I love that they can be worn in multiple exercise settings whether it be yoga or running outdoors.
I also love this Zella jacket. It’s light weight, form fitting, and easy to layer over your tank top or t-shirt. It’s fashionable in color and fit, and can be worn pre or post workout to meet up with friends. It’s also a great jacket to run as it isn’t too thick.
So, I hope you will join me in this journey and I would love any feedback you may have as we mold this segment together as we go!
