Hey, friends! I think the theme for today’s post is going to be “All is Merry and Bright.” Merry because we are definitely in the homestretch for the Christmas holiday and bright because today’s look is most definitely bright. One of my favorite things to do in the winter months is to wear something that really pops against the gloomy winter weather. With colder temps I feel like we all tend to gravitate toward those items that keep us warm – big scarves, cozy sweaters, fleeces, and pullovers. And while I live in those most of the winter, every now and then it’s fun to make a statement.
One of the easiest ways to make a statement is simply by wearing a bright sweater. In fact, one of my very favorite winter blog posts is from 2 years ago in this amazing yellow sweater. I love it because you really don’t have to do very much. The rest of your look can be so simply and easy – created with things you already have in your closet. For example, in today’s look I just grabbed my favorite white tee from LOFT, knotted it on the side, and paired it with a lighter color denim.
The fun thing about wearing a bright sweater is that it really does make others happy. Try it and you’ll see. You’ll be shocked at the number of smiles and/or compliments you get just because people love seeing something cheery! And a side note on this pretty pink sweater – it’s actually really comfortable, too. You guys all know that the whole “comfort factor” is a big one for me, and this one definitely fits the bill. It’s one of those chunky knits that you can just curl up in. Or as the younger generation might say, “it’s extra.” I’m trying not to get too outdated…
