Happy Friday, friends!! It’s been a long week over here, but it’s the freakin’ weekend!!! I’m headed to The Southern Chic Retreat with my sister-in-law today for a mini getaway, and then we get to spend the rest of the weekend with our family celebrating Easter! Easter typically looks the same for us – we wake (earlier than Trav and I would like) when the girls wake to see what the Easter Bunny left us in our baskets and then put on our Sunday best and head to Prestonwood Baptist Church for Easter service with Trav’s family.
This year I plan on wearing this crochet midi dress (on sale) – it’s been a serious go-to dress for me this Spring, and my girls will be wearing their “princess dresses (on sale)” from Janie and Jack. After church we’ll head back to my mother-in-law’s house for Easter brunch and time with Trav’s immediate and extended family. It’s so fun getting to dress up for Easter service, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t look forward to getting home and changing into something more comfortable. This year I plan on wearing the top in today’s post.
At first glance you might think this top is not the “comfy” option you would pick, but y’all, hear me say this top is SO soft. I’m kind of having an obsession with the brand Chelsea28 – I posted another one of their tops here Wednesday, because their clothing is seriously so incredibly soft and comfortable. Besides the fact that this top is so soft, it’s so cute, right? I love that it’s crochet, too. I am totally digging this whole crochet trend.
Wearing crochet sounds a bit intimidating at first I’ll admit. For some reason it conjures up a picture in my mind of a super thin woman in a crochet mini dress and that is just not my scene anymore for lots of reasons including my post-baby bod, haha. But, once I get past that little image, I see that it is actually so easy to find a crochet piece that you’re comfortable in. As always, my biggest advice is to know your personal style, know what looks best on your specific body type, and then find those trendy crochet pieces that fit your style! So simple, right?
