FORM Hair Education Class & GIVEAWAY

Holidays parties are in full swing right now, which typically means I am racing home from work, doing a quick wardrobe change and left with no time to do anything with my hair except run a brush through it. So, when I had the opportunity to attend a FORM Hair Education course with other Dallas bloggers to learn how to do a “tousled up-do” in 15 minutes, I was sold. My updo attempts usually consist of about 30+ bobby pins, countless trials, and the result of prom-looking hair. I needed help.

FORM Hair Education was founded by my sweet friend and hairstylist of almost 10 years, Whitney Haynes. FORM was created as a “community of hair professionals committed to the growth of [their] craft, creativity, and continuing education. [They] are passionate about [their] art and believe that details make the difference.” Now, to brag on Whitney for a minute — besides cutting hair for almost 10 years, she was awarded one of the top 10 hairstylists in North America 2013 through Davines WWHT, Paris. She has worked, directed and produced numerous fashion shows and photo shoots, and has trained in Dallas, NYC, Paris and with Vidal Sassoon in London just to name a few.

FORM provides 4 types of client courses: Beautiful Blow-Dry, Perfect Ponytail, Glamourous Curls, and Tousled Up-Do style. Each course prides itself on a 1:4 or 2:8 ratio, which allows for intimate instruction and gives the educators the ability to provide individual help. Through their lecture, demo, diagram training, and hands-on help, you will leave each course with a new style and the knowledge to be able to recreate it on your own!

Back to the tousled up-do class…I’m not going to lie, I was anxious about attending this course knowing that I would have to do the up-do myself, but with the simple instruction and tools FORM provided me, I left feeling confident (and looking good!). I even attempted to do a “tousled up-do” again for date night and it was a success! So, what did I learn? Well, I won’t give away all of the fabulous tips so that you can experience it for yourself, but below are several things I learned that I hadn’t learned before:

1.) You don’t need a thousand bobby pins to hold your hair up. Each of us (some girls had much longer hair than I did) were given an alloted about of bobby pins (total under 10) and were able to securely put our hair in an up-do with the instruction and help of the FORM personnel.

2.) There is a method to the madness. FORM has created a very specific method to the perfect tousled “up-do.” If you follow their guidelines, you can most definitely do your own!

3.) You don’t need a helmet of hairspray to hold your up-do in place.

4.) It really can be accomplished in 15 minutes!

I cannot wait to take another course, especially the “glamourous curls” class! I along with the other Dallas bloggers at the course loved our experience so much that we have teamed up with FORM Hair Education to give away one seat in the class of your choice!
