Holiday parties are in full swing. From work parties to white elephant gift changes with friends to church services with families, the Christmas season is definitely here! So far, Travis and I have both had our work parties, we’ve attended The Gift of Christmas at Prestonwood Baptist Church with family, and we’re looking forward to a fun holiday party this Saturday with friends.

I think my favorite part of holiday parties is getting to celebrate the season with so many different groups of people. A close second though? Picking out what to wear! So, this year I have teamed up with one of my favorite Dallas boutiques – Shop September, to bring you 3 different holiday looks.

Today’s look is the most formal of the 3 and easily my favorite. While most holiday parties seem to be business casual nowadays, there are those parties that require more formal attire. The cool thing about investing in a more formal holiday dress is that you can wear it to multiple functions like a Christmas date to the symphony, a winter wedding, or even a NYE party.

The geometric cut of the bodice, the tiny buttons on the shoulder, and the sheer skirt take this dress from an ordinary LBD to a statement piece. I chose monochromatic accessories for today’s look to let this dress do all the talking, but you could change up your look by adding a colored pump or a bright red clutch.
