How to Pick a Romper That Fits Your Body Type

Happy Monday, loves! I hope you’re all geared up for a new week! We’re still traveling abroad in Italy (you can follow our travels on instagram), but we’re missing our girls like crazy!!

We all know rompers are a summer staple, but we also know that not every romper flatters our figure. It’s hard to know what style is right for your body type though, so I thought I’d share some tips here! The Chicwish romper I’m wearing may be my favorite romper to date. I love the high waist that elongates my legs (I need all the help I can get at 5’2″), the cinched waistline, and off-the-shoulder top, and the fun ruffle sleeves to put my romper right on trend!

Which romper best suits your body?

  • PEAR SHAPED – most likely you have a fit upper body – jealous! Opt for a romper that adds a little to your top half – think ruffles sleeves like the romper in today’s post, and then elongate your bottom half with clean lines, monochromatic colors, and heels or wedges to make your legs look leaner and longer.
  • APPLE SHAPED – your best asset is your legs, so opt for rompers that highlight your legs! Don’t go too short, but a solid color romper that is paired with heels or wedges will elongate your legs and shift the focus to your legs. Opt for a vneck if possible too to help elongate your figure!
  • STRAIGHT FIGURE – your best assets are your legs and arms, so let them do the talking! Choose a romper that shows your arms – sleeveless or strapless, and one that elongates your legs. Choose a romper that cinches at the waistline to give the illusion of an hourglass figure.
  • HOURGLASS FIGURE – show off your curves! Choose a tailored romper, a vneck to elongate your figure, and a romper with a cinched waistline to highlight your hourglass figure.
