Holiday Dress

pink anthropologie jogger pants

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!! We felt like we had the best of both worlds this weekend – we celebrated my best friend’s wedding on Friday at the most beautiful wedding venue (The Farm at Dover) in Wisconsin. Then, we ended the weekend by going to the state fair with our girls, their grandparents, and their aunts and uncles.

Although I didn’t end up wearing this dress to the rehearsal dinner like I had planned, I am jazzed about how many times I’ll get to wear this dress this season. Is it not the most perfect dress for holiday events? I think it would be great for NYE, too.

I love the neckline that’s flattering on any body type, it’s form fitting, but loose enough that no one would tell if you had one too many pieces of cake, and the silver against the white just feels like a party. This dress is also lined and only $62 – you can’t beat that, friends!

Now, I typically don’t share those things in my life that are very personal, but since you all have been a part of my journey with endometriosis, I wanted to keep you all in the loop! This morning I am having a partial hysterectomy to remove my uterus (where most of my endometriosis has been found).

I have had multiple laproscopic surgeries to remove endometriosis, and have reached a point where medication is not able to help anymore. My husband and I have prayed through this both with each other and those close to us and we firmly believe this is God’s will. He has blessed us with two beautiful girls and has given us the sweetest family of four. We have always wanted to adopt as well, so if we feel called to have a third child, we will go that route. 🙂

The good news is I’m only having a partial, which means that I get to keep my ovaries so my hormones won’t be affected. We are also hoping that this will resolve the whole pain issue associated with endometriosis.

All this to say, I may be a little MIA on social media, so thanks in advance for your understanding! Also, if you have endometriosis, I’d love to speak with you or answer any questions you may have!
