Happy Hump Day, friends! Before I start talking about today's awesome blast-from-the-past stirrup leggings, I wanted to touch on what's happening in Houston. Like so many of you guys, we have family stuck down there. Luckily, my brother is safe, but there are so many that are not. There are so many that have lost their homes and are now homeless. There is too much need for me to list things out. Rather, I wanted to let you all know that the easiest way to help out right now is to donate $10 to the Red Cross by texting "HARVEY" TO 90999. It's quick and easy and will immediately serve those in need. You can also click here to donate more.
Year after year I find myself gravitating toward black leggings when Fall hits. I alway have a pair of faux leather leggings as styled here, and last year I added Blanqi's slimming leggings to my post-baby wardrobe. This year though, I am giving a nod to 1980s street style. Being a child of the 80s I totally remember wearing stirrup leggings. Does anyone else remember wearing stirrup leggings to grade school with an oversized sweater and Keds?
I wanted to keep the focus of my outfit the awesome stirrup details, so I styled them with a simple, clean wrap top and a classic bag. Then added some ankle strap block heels for a fun play on straps. I with I could say I envisioned how cool the criss cross straps would look, but it was actually more of an accident. Truthfully, I was trying on these shoes for another outfit and was just too lazy to take off my leggings and then realized how fun it looked.
