How to Style an Embellished Sweater Tunic

Styling a tunic doesn't have to be hard. Find out my 3 go-to ways to style a tunic and still keep aligned with your personal style.

Happy Thursday, friends! Only two more work days until the weekend for all of you that are back at work! I honestly feel like the week in between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is such an odd week. It just feels so hard to switch back into work mode knowing another holiday is coming up. Whether you’re on work time or holiday time though, it’s still cold out! In fact, it’s actually been in the 30s and 40s here in Dallas for almost a week and seems like the cold is here to stay for a bit. So unusual for us! We typically get a random 70 degree day thrown in there, haha.

With temperatures being cold, all I can think of is cozying up in a big, chunky sweater. I styled this bright pink sweater last week, but am back to neutrals today. As y’all know, Chicwish is a great place to get well-made, trendy items at a reasonable price. I have the privilege of partnering with them today again to chat about how I style a sweater tunic. There are some really great neutral tunics, but I thought this sweater tunic was just so fun with the little pearl embellishment. This sweater also comes in grey and black if tan isn’t your jam.

As I see it, there are 3 super easy ways to style a tunic. The easiest and most obvious way is to just wear it as is. For example, I could have worn this sweater with some cute flats and no belt for a casual, cozy look. If you’re a bit more sporty, you could wear some cute sneaks with it, too. The second way I would style a tunic is to dress it up. That’s what I did today with this embellished tunic. I added a belt to help give my 5’2″ frame a figure, and added some pumps for a little height. Now, the only reason this way can get a bit tricky is if you’re super tall. I’m a shorty so rocking a tunic with a belt tends to work for me without being too short. You’ll just have to play this one by ear if you’re taller than I.

The last way to style a tunic is probably the most popular during the winter – pairing it with pants. You have a couple options here, too. You could give it a more edgy look by pairing it with some black leather leggings (these are on sale for $28). Or, you could go the more casual route with some skinny jeans. What would be your favorite way to style this tunic? I think the great thing about tunics is you can style multiple looks, which means you get some good bang for your buck!
