You guys, it is still in the 90s here in Dallas. Yes, you heard me right, it still feels like summer here. So what do we do when it’s mid-Ocotber and just the thought of wearing a cable knit sweater makes you sweat? You get creative!

You learn to find pieces that follow Fall’s trends like this windowpane dress from Old Navy and adapt it to your style.

The tricky part comes in here though – you find yourself buying short sleeve dresses and sleeveless sweaters knowing that you’ll only be able to wear them for a month or so before the weather does get cold. So in order for us to not be wasteful, we really try to focus on the type of piece we’re buying.

For example, with this dress we know we’ll be able to add a sweater to it or tights and boots when it gets cold, which will give this dress a little more life for Emma Grace. We could also add a long sleeve black turtleneck top underneath for some extra warmth when the weather turns.

What are your tricks for getting he most wear out of your little one’s clothes? We’d love to hear! Feel free to comment below and let us know!
